Choice Logistics is seeking an experienced professional to join our Global Trade Solutions (GTS) team in the role of Global Trade Implementation Manager

The Global Trade Implementation Manager will directly support the Director of Global Trade Solutions, with the on-boarding and implementation of clients into new, and existing global markets. This individual will also assist with analyzing and understanding global vendor and client requirements and developing trade reports and analytics. The Business Analyst will also assist in the overview of parts and shipment compliance, conduct general trade compliance audits, and structure client data in line with the global trade management system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the import/export potential of products and services to resolve challenges and enable uninterrupted service
  • Create shipping procedures and instructions for clients
  • Perform complex data mining and aggregation; commingle multiple data-sets to develop a streamlined, efficient representation of transaction life cycles
  • Support standard reporting, ad-hoc analysis and report requests, and self-initiated data mining and querying
  • Perform general trade compliance and business process audits
  • Gather detailed information to assist with implementation profiles, power of attorney documents, audits and other compliance guides
  • Provide support to the international vendor network
  • Monthly VAT/In transit reporting
  • HTS classification
  • Landed cost analysis
  • Other special projects as required

Job Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent trade experience
  • 3+ years of transferable analysis / project work
  • 3+ Years of Export, Import, Traffic, and/or Customs Brokerage experience
  • Desire to learn global trade regulations and compliance and process improvement
  • Knowledge of the terminology and documents used in import/export
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, capture and communicate business processes

  • Ability to interpret and present results of complex analyses clearly
  • Superb, independent follow up skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Appreciation for cultural differences in day to day interactions
  • Solid PC skills: MS Office; Intermediate skills in Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint. Visio and Access a bonus
