DRS C3 Systems, LLC is a world leader in Naval display consoles and is a leading supplier of networked and integrated sensor control systems for military and homeland security missions. C3 Systems incorporates dynamic technologies in command, control, computing, and communications to provide new approaches for seamless homeland security, homeland defense, and military operations. 

Our solutions for force protection, undersea warfare and ship self-defense incorporate our virtually undetectable radar, day/night video and a multi-sensor tracking system to provide highly accurate detections and tracking of targets. Designed and built for border, coastal/port defense, and surveillance the systems automatically identify and classify moving ground and shallow-water targets, contributing to national security objectives to safeguard borders, littoral regions and valuable assets from acts of terrorist.

 

We operate on a 9/80 work schedule, all employees work 80 hrs in 9 days and have every other Friday off

Position Summary

The Export Control Officer will be responsible for the preparation of Department of State export and import licenses and Agreements to support DRS C3 Systems programs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares complex, multiparty licenses and agreements with minimum supervision.
  • Assists with the development of licensing strategies for major international programs.
  • Ensures that administrative and regulatory requirements related to export licensing and compliance are met.
  • Audits programs for export compliance. 
  • Substantial interaction with DRS Program Managers and Contracts Managers.
  • Conducts training and develops focus training for programs and/or functions

Required Experience:

Basic Qualifications

  •  A BA degree in International Business, Contract Management, Business Law (or equivalent experience) and 5 years experience in export/import licensing, specializing in State Department licenses, Technical Assistance Agreements, and Manufacturing License.
  • US citizenship is required. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments regarding the interpretation and application of US Export Regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Team player, ability to work independently while meeting deadlines, handles a high volume of work.
  • Familiar with US Customs Regulations and US Export Administration Regulations.
