Export Compliance Manager
Job Description
Export Manager based in Herndon, VA. The Export Manager will be responsible for two operating units, providing expert advice and guidance concerning the requirements and obligations of exporting defense articles, technical data, and the provision of defense services under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and commercial/dual-use items under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Required Experience:
A minimum of 7 years export experience is required – with 3 years as an Empowered Official preferred. BA/BS degree, demonstrated leadership ability.
Position Reports To: Fred Czarske
This Job Requires the Following Skills:
Prepare, administer and (life-cycle) manage export licenses, Agreements, exemption and exception authorizations.
Generate Commodity Jurisdictions.
Determine ECCNs.
Conduct internal program-specific training (and general export awareness training as needed).
Provide support for all international transactions, including the Foreign Travel, Foreign National Visitor, and Public Release processes.
Be cognizant of, and engage in, all international pursuits, proposals and programs.
Ensure compliance with corporate, sector and division export policies and procedures.
Conduct inquiries into reports of non-compliance in coordination with the Law Department.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
