SIA is pleased to welcome DAS Vaccaro for this Speaker Series Event.

On January 16, 2024, The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) welcomed Michael Vaccaro as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Defense Trade, where he oversees DDTC’s mission to ensure commercial exports of defense articles and defense services advance U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives. 

Prior to this appointment, DAS Vaccaro performed the duties of Principal Deputy Assistance Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy for the Department of Defense.  He also served as the Director of the Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, Office of Strategic Industries and Economic Security, where he oversaw defense trade and industrial base programs.
